PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 52 (RE-03 )/2002-2007
NEW DELHI; DATED: 26th FEBRUARY, 2004
In exercise of the powers conferred under paragraph 2.4 of the Export and Import Policy, 2002-2007 and paragraph 1.1 of Handbook of Procedures ( Vol.I), the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendment/correction in the Schedule of DEPB rate.
I. The following corrections are made to the Schedule of DEPB rate published vide Public Notice No.47 (RE 2003)/2002-2007 dated 9th February, 2004 and these corrections are effective from 9th February, 2004.
Product Group: Engineering Product Code:61
(i) (i) All the DEPB rates relating to Engineering Products notified vide Public Notice
No.47 (RE-2003)/2002-2007 dated 9th February, 2004, are substituted as Annexed to this Public Notice.
Product Group: Chemicals Product Code:62
(i) (i) The DEPB rate of Sl. No.326 is corrected to read as 9%.
(ii) (ii) The DEPB rate of Sl. No.464 is corrected to read as 6%.
(iii) (iii) The DEPB rate of Sl. No.871 is corrected to read as 5%.
Product Group: Plastics Product Code:63
(i) (i) The DEPB rate of Sl. No.2 is corrected to read as 11%.
(ii) (ii) The DEPB rate of each of Sl. Nos.33A, 33B, 33C, 33D, 33E & 33F is corrected to read as 12%.
Product Group: Leather Product Code:64
(i) (i) The DEPB rate of each of the Sl. Nos.6,9,12,13 is corrected to read as 7%.
(ii) (ii) The DEPB rates of Sl. No.24 is corrected to read as 10%.
Product Group: Textiles Product Code:89
(i) (i) The description of the export product at Sl.No.34A is corrected to read as “Woven Shawls/Scarves/Mufflers and Made-ups made of 100% Wool with or without embroidery”.
(ii) (ii) The description of the export product at Sl.No.44A is corrected to read as “ Bleached/Dyed and/or printed
manmade-cotton blended fabrics ‘with or without embroidery’ and/or ‘with or without metallised yarn’ (manmade content more than 50% by weight)”.
(iii) (iii) The description of the export product at Sl. No.44C is corrected to read as “ Bleached/Dyed and/or Printed Polyester- Cotton Blended Made-ups ( with or without embroidery and/or with or without metallised yarn
( Polyester content more than 50% by weight.)”.
II. The DEPB rate of 13% of Sl. No. 353 of Product Group Engineering (Code No 61) notified vide Public Notice No.46 (RE-03)/2002-2007 dated 4th February, 2004 is corrected to read as 20% with effect from 01.04.2003 till 08.02.2004.
III. The following amendments are made to the Schedule of DEPB rate published vide Public Notice No.47 (RE 2003)/2002-2007 dated 9th February, 2004 :-

(i) (i) The DEPB rate and value cap of Sl.No.410 is amended to read as 13% and Rs.75/- per Kg. respectively.
(ii) (ii) The DEPB rate and value cap of Sl.No.411 is amended to read as 11% and Rs.70/- per Kg. respectively.
(iii) (iii) The DEPB rate and value cap of Sl.No.412 is amended to read as 11% and Rs.185/- per Kg. respectively.
(iv) (iv) The DEPB rate and value cap of Sl.No.530 is amended to read as 13% and
Rs.175/- per Kg. respectively
.
This issues in the public interest.
