NEW DELHI, THE     7th FEBRUARY, 2008

 

S.O.(E) In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 5 read with Section 3(2) of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992 (No.22 of 1992) and also read with Para 1.3 and Para 2.1 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-2009 (as amended from time to time), the Central Government prohibits with immediate effect any export of non-basmati rice, under the Transitional arrangements under Para 1.5 of Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-2009 (as amended from time to time), with reference to the restrictions imposed vide Notification No. 38(RE-2007)/2004-2009, dated 15.10.2007, and Notification No.  45(RE-2007)/2004-2009, dated 31.10.2007, and Notification No.  68(RE-2007)/2004-2009, dated 27.12.2007.
